Bayer Leverkusen Midfielder Iker Bravo Signs New Contract
18-Year-Old Extends Stay Until 2026
Bayer Leverkusen have announced that 18-year-old midfielder Iker Bravo has signed a new contract with the club, extending his stay until 2026.
Bravo, who has made a positive impression since joining Leverkusen from Barcelona in 2021, has signed a two-year contract extension, with his previous deal due to expire in 2024.
The young Spaniard has been a regular for the Leverkusen Under-19s this season, scoring 10 goals in 17 appearances in the Under-19 Bundesliga.
He has also made three appearances for Leverkusen's first team, all in the DFB-Pokal, and scored his first goal for the club in a 4-0 win over Karlsruher SC in August 2022.
"I am very happy to have signed a new contract with Bayer Leverkusen," said Bravo.
"I feel very comfortable here and I believe this is the best place for me to continue my development."
"I would like to thank the club for their trust and I will do everything to help the team achieve our goals."
Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes said: "We are very pleased that Iker has signed a new contract with us."
"He is a very talented player with great potential and we are confident that he will be a valuable asset to our team in the years to come."
"We are looking forward to seeing him continue to develop and reach his full potential at Bayer Leverkusen."
