Milan reach last four of competition for first time since 2019
AC Milan's Under-19s have reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Youth League after a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over FC Porto.
The Rossoneri won 4-2 on penalties after the match finished 1-1 after extra-time.
Milan took the lead in the first half through Alessandro Plizzari, but Porto equalised in the second half through Fabio Silva.
Milan will now face either Chelsea or Barcelona in the semi-finals.
Match report
Milan started the match brightly and took the lead in the 20th minute when Plizzari finished coolly after being played through on goal.
Porto grew into the game and equalised in the 55th minute through Silva, who headed home from a cross.
Both teams had chances to win the game in normal time, but the match went to extra-time.
Milan goalkeeper Andreas Jungdal made a number of key saves in extra-time to keep Porto at bay.
The match went to penalties and Milan won 4-2, with Plizzari, Marko Lazetic, Tommaso Pobega and Daniel Maldini all converting their spot-kicks.

"They showed great character and determination to win the game on penalties.
"We're now in the semi-finals and we'll be looking to go all the way."
