Steelers Lose Fourth Straight Game
The New York Jets upset the Pittsburgh Steelers in a thrilling overtime game on Sunday, winning 24-20. The Jets, who came into the game as 10-point underdogs, rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime.
The Steelers took an early lead on a 3-yard touchdown run by Najee Harris, but the Jets answered back with a 45-yard field goal by Greg Zuerlein. The Steelers extended their lead to 10-3 on a 27-yard field goal by Chris Boswell, but the Jets closed the gap to 10-6 on a 54-yard field goal by Zuerlein as time expired in the first half.
The Steelers took a 17-6 lead in the third quarter on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger to Diontae Johnson, but the Jets came back with a 1-yard touchdown run by Michael Carter to make it 17-13. The Jets tied the game at 20-20 on a 4-yard touchdown pass from Zach Wilson to Elijah Moore with just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
The Steelers had a chance to win the game in regulation, but Boswell missed a 53-yard field goal attempt as time expired. The Jets won the toss in overtime and drove down the field for the game-winning touchdown, a 2-yard run by Carter.
The Jets improved to 2-3 with the win, while the Steelers fell to 1-4. The Steelers have now lost four straight games, their longest losing streak since 2013.
