Mingo Brings Experience and Depth to Dallas Defense

The Dallas Cowboys have added depth to their defense by signing former Carolina Panther, Jonathan Mingo.

Mingo provides the Cowboys with a veteran presence and experience.

The 30-year-old linebacker has played in 10 NFL seasons, including 111 career games.

He played the majority of his career for the New England Patriots, before joining the Panthers in 2021.

Mingo brings a lot of athleticism to the Cowboys defense.

He has recorded 121 total tackles and 10.5 sacks during his career.

The veteran has also shown the ability to generate pressure on opposing quarterbacks, with 24 career QB hits.

Jonathan Mingo's addition has not been met with much fanfare.

However, he provides depth to a Dallas defense that desperately needs it.

The Cowboys have been decimated by injuries in recent weeks and Mingo can step in and immediately contribute.

Dallas already released a player to make room for Mingo on the roster.

Safety Juanyeh Thomas was waived to make room for the new linebacker.

Mingo is a significant upgrade over Thomas and should be able to contribute immediately.
