Dortmund’s Youth League Comeback Stuns PSG
Borussia Dortmund's U19 team staged a stunning comeback to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 in the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday.
Trailing 2-0 at half-time, Dortmund scored three goals in the second half to secure a famous victory.
PSG took the lead in the 11th minute when Ismael Gharbi converted a penalty. Gharbi doubled the Parisians' advantage in the 39th minute with a fine strike from outside the area.
Dortmund pulled a goal back in the 55th minute when Youssoufa Moukoko scored from close range. The equalizer came just three minutes later, with Jamie Bynoe-Gittens firing home a low shot.
The comeback was complete in the 75th minute when Tom Rothe scored the winning goal for Dortmund. The German midfielder curled a free-kick into the top corner from 25 yards out.
The victory was Dortmund's first in the UEFA Youth League this season. They had lost their opening two matches against Manchester City and Sevilla.
PSG, meanwhile, remain top of Group A with six points from three matches. Dortmund are now second with three points, while Manchester City and Sevilla are level on one point each.
