Youth League: Young guns fire AC Milan and Porto into semi-finals
Rossoneri ease past Anderlecht while Porto edge out Marseille
AC Milan and Porto have booked their places in the semi-finals of the UEFA Youth League after impressive victories on Wednesday.
Milan, who won the competition in 2016, were in dominant form as they cruised to a 4-0 victory over Anderlecht in Italy.
Lorenzo Colombo opened the scoring for the Rossoneri in the 18th minute, before Marco Brescianini doubled the lead just before the half-hour mark.
Colombo added his second of the game early in the second half, and Gabriele Capanni completed the rout in the 75th minute.
Porto, meanwhile, needed a late goal to secure a 2-1 victory over Marseille in Portugal.
Fabio Silva gave Porto the lead in the 20th minute, but Marseille equalised through Isaac Lihadji just after the hour mark.
However, Porto snatched a dramatic winner in the 89th minute through Goncalo Borges, who fired home from close range.
Milan will now face Barcelona in the semi-finals, while Porto will take on Real Madrid.
