Youth League Transfer News: Dortmund’s Moukoko on Man United’s radar
€30m-rated German striker linked with move to Old Trafford
Premier League giants willing to pay top dollar for prodigious talent
English Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly showing keen interest in Borussia Dortmund’s 18-year-old striker Youssoufa Moukoko, who has a €30 million release clause in his contract.
Moukoko, who has been capped by Germany at youth level, has been in impressive form for Dortmund this season, scoring six goals in 14 appearances in all competitions.
Moukoko’s impressive goalscoring record
Born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Moukoko joined Dortmund’s youth academy in 2016 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the youngest player to ever play in the UEFA Youth League at the age of 14.
He made his first-team debut for Dortmund in November 2020 and has since scored 11 goals in 56 appearances for the club.
Moukoko’s impressive goalscoring record has not gone unnoticed by other clubs, with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Real Madrid all reportedly interested in signing him.
A bright future ahead
Moukoko is considered to be one of the most promising young strikers in the world and has been compared to Erling Haaland, who also came through the Dortmund academy.
If he can continue to develop at his current rate, he has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world.
However, Dortmund are reluctant to sell Moukoko and are likely to demand a high fee for his services.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will be willing to pay the asking price, but they are clearly keen on signing the young striker.
