Youth League Milan Braga: Hosts Milan ease past Braga into last 16
AC Milan's youngsters have reached the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League after beating Sporting Braga 2-0 at the Vismara Stadium.
Goals from Gabriele Alesi and Marko Lazetic proved enough to see off the Portuguese side and secure top spot in Group E for the Rossoneri.
Milan started the game brightly and took the lead in the 18th minute when Alesi fired home from close range after good work from Lorenzo Colombo.
The hosts continued to dominate the first half and doubled their lead in the 35th minute when Lazetic headed home from a corner.
Braga improved after the break and had a few chances to pull a goal back, but they were unable to find a way past Milan goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari.
The win means that Milan have finished top of Group E with 13 points, while Braga finished second with 9 points.
Milan will now face the runners-up from Group F in the last 16, while Braga will face the winners of Group F.
