Youth League: Leverkusen and Milan Advance
Bayer Leverkusen Reach Quarterfinals
Bayer Leverkusen's U-19 team has advanced to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Youth League after a 3-1 victory over Club Brugge on Wednesday.
Leverkusen took the lead in the first half through a goal from Emrehan Gedikli. Brugge equalized in the second half through a penalty from Tibo Persyn, but Leverkusen regained the lead through a goal from Iker Bravo.
Leverkusen sealed the victory with a third goal from Gedikli in the dying minutes of the match.
Milan Secure Quarterfinal Berth
AC Milan's U-19 team has also advanced to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Youth League after a 2-1 victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday.
Milan took the lead in the first half through a goal from Tommaso Pobega. Dinamo Zagreb equalized in the second half through a goal from Marin Juranovic, but Milan regained the lead through a goal from Pietro Pellegri.
Milan held on to their lead to secure the victory and a place in the quarterfinals.
Quarterfinal Draw
The draw for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Youth League will take place on Friday, March 15.
The quarterfinals will be played on March 27 and 28.
