AC Milan's Under-19s staged a remarkable comeback to knock Borussia Dortmund out of the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday. The game finished 4-4 after extra time, with Milan winning 4-3 on penalties.
Milan started the game brightly and took the lead through Marco Nasti in the 10th minute. However, Dortmund hit back with two goals from Youssoufa Moukoko in the 15th and 25th minutes. Milan equalised through Tommaso Mancini in the 35th minute, but Dortmund regained the lead through Moritz Broschinski just before half-time.
Dortmund extended their lead to 4-2 through Jamie Bynoe-Gittens in the 55th minute. But Milan refused to give up and pulled a goal back through Nasti in the 70th minute. The Italian side then equalised through Tommaso Pobega in the 89th minute to send the game into extra time.
Neither team could find a winner in extra time, so the game went to penalties. Milan goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari saved two of Dortmund's penalties, while all four of Milan's takers scored.
