Gowdy Has a History of Public Service
Gowdy served in the House of Representatives for 10 years and was the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee from 2015 to 2019. He was also a member of the House Intelligence Committee and the House Judiciary Committee.
Before entering politics, Gowdy was a federal prosecutor for 11 years. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina School of Law.
