Stick it to Soros: Los Angeles, stop street chaos, and vote out woke DA George Gascón
Los Angeles voters have a chance to recall woke District Attorney George Gascón on November 8th
Gascón, a former San Francisco District Attorney, was elected in 2020 on a promise to reform the criminal justice system. However, his policies have been blamed for a sharp increase in crime in Los Angeles.
In 2021, homicides increased by 12%, and shootings increased by 23%. Robberies and aggravated assaults also saw significant increases.
Gascón's critics say that his policies, such as refusing to seek the death penalty and not charging juveniles as adults, have emboldened criminals.
Gascón has defended his record, saying that he is focused on reducing mass incarceration and racial disparities in the criminal justice system
However, his critics say that he has gone too far and that his policies are putting the public at risk.
The recall election is being funded by a coalition of law enforcement groups, business leaders, and victims' rights advocates.
If Gascón is recalled, he will be replaced by one of two candidates: former Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer or former prosecutor Eric Siddall
Feuer has pledged to restore law and order to Los Angeles, while Siddall has said that he will focus on reducing crime and protecting the rights of victims.
The recall election is a referendum on Gascón's policies and the future of criminal justice in Los Angeles.
