Panthers reportedly trading WR Jonathan Mingo to Cowboys
Carolina set to receive 4th round pick in exchange for disgruntled wideout
Deal expected to be completed before Tuesday's NFL trade deadline
The Carolina Panthers are reportedly set to trade wide receiver Jonathan Mingo to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Mingo, 27, has been the subject of trade rumors for weeks after requesting a trade from the Panthers earlier this season. The two sides have been at odds over a contract extension, with Mingo seeking a deal that would make him one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL.
The Cowboys are in need of a wide receiver after losing Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns in free agency this offseason. Mingo is a proven playmaker who has averaged over 1,000 receiving yards per season over the past three years.
The trade is expected to be completed before Tuesday's NFL trade deadline.
