Officials Urge Public to Remain Vigilant, Report Suspicious Activity
ALBANY, N.Y. (DEC 4, 2023) – The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has announced that all of its offices statewide will be closed today, December 4, 2023, due to bomb threats. The threats were received by phone at multiple DEC offices across the state this morning.
Law enforcement is currently investigating the threats and has advised DEC to close its offices out of an abundance of caution. The safety and security of DEC employees and the public is the agency’s top priority.
The DEC is urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately. If you see something, say something.
