Early life and career

Janel Grant was born in Michigan in 1953. She began her wrestling career in the early 1980s, wrestling under the name "Penny Mitchell". She quickly rose through the ranks, becoming one of the most popular female wrestlers in the country. In 1984, she joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where she became known for her athleticism and charisma. She quickly became one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWF, and was a major part of the company's success in the 1980s.

WWF career

Grant was a major part of the WWF's women's division in the 1980s. She feuded with some of the biggest names in the WWF, including Fabulous Moolah, Sherri Martel, and Wendi Richter.
