Dortmund’s Youth League Campaign Continues with Victory
Borussia Dortmund got their UEFA Youth League campaign off to a winning start with a 3-1 victory over FC Copenhagen on Wednesday.
Youssoufa Moukoko gave Dortmund the lead in the 18th minute, but Copenhagen equalised through William Clem in the 31st minute.
Dortmund regained the lead in the 55th minute through Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, and Moukoko added his second in the 70th minute to seal the victory.
The victory was Dortmund's first in the UEFA Youth League since 2017, and it will give them confidence ahead of their next match against Manchester City on October 19.
Dortmund are in Group G of the UEFA Youth League, alongside Manchester City, FC Copenhagen, and Sevilla.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout stages.
