Live Results: Oklahoma Statewide Elections
Welcome to our live coverage of the 2024 Oklahoma election results. As polls close across the state, we will be providing real-time updates on the vote counts in all statewide races, including the gubernatorial race, the U.S. Senate race, and the state legislative races.
The polls opened at 7:00 AM CST and will close at 7:00 PM CST. We expect to have results from some races shortly after the polls close, but the final results may not be known for several hours or even days.
Oklahoma Gubernatorial Race
The race for Oklahoma governor is one of the most closely watched races in the country. Incumbent Republican Governor Kevin Stitt is seeking a second term, but he faces a strong challenge from Democratic nominee Joy Hofmeister, the current State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Stitt is a conservative Republican who has been a strong supporter of President Donald Trump. He has pledged to cut taxes, reduce regulations, and expand school choice.
Hofmeister is a moderate Democrat who has been critical of Stitt's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and his education policies. She has pledged to increase funding for public education, expand access to healthcare, and protect the environment.
Oklahoma U.S. Senate Race
The race for the U.S. Senate seat from Oklahoma is also expected to be close. Incumbent Republican Senator James Lankford is seeking a third term, but he faces a challenge from Democratic nominee Kendra Horn, a former Congresswoman.
Lankford is a conservative Republican who has been a strong supporter of President Trump. He has pledged to continue to fight for conservative values in the Senate.
Horn is a moderate Democrat who has been critical of Lankford's record on healthcare, education, and the environment. She has pledged to be a voice for the people of Oklahoma in the Senate.
Oklahoma State Legislative Races
All 101 seats in the Oklahoma House of Representatives and all 48 seats in the Oklahoma Senate are up for election in 2024. Republicans currently control both chambers of the legislature, but Democrats are hoping to make gains.
The outcome of the legislative races will have a significant impact on the state's budget, education policies, and healthcare system.
