2024 NKY GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS
Kenton County Results
Incumbent Judge Dawn Gentry (D) has been re-elected as Kenton County Circuit Court Judge, surpassing Republican challenger Michael Hummel by a 58% to 42% margin.
In the race for Kenton County Sheriff, Republican candidate and current Covington Police Chief Rob Nader defeated Democratic candidate and Kenton County Police Officer Anthony Moore with 56% of the vote to Moore’s 44%.
The races for the Kenton County School Board were equally competitive, with the top two vote-getters in each district ultimately winning the three available seats.
In District 1, incumbent member Jill Wood (R) and newcomers Tim Haney (R) and Laura Stanley (D) were elected.
In District 2, incumbents Ken Baker (R) and Nona Poston (R) retained their seats, while newcomer Andrew Weitlauf (D) was also elected.
In District 3, incumbent Nancy Theders (D) and newcomers Jon Draud (R) and Heather Fister (R) won the three open seats.
Campbell County Results
In Campbell County, Republican candidate for Campbell County Circuit Court Judge Daniel Adkins handily defeated Democratic candidate and current Campbell County Attorney Steve Franzen by a 62% to 38% margin.
The Campbell County Sheriff’s race was much closer, with Republican candidate and current Campbell County Deputy Sheriff Brett Hamilton narrowly defeating Democratic candidate and former Campbell County Police Chief Tim McClain by a 52% to 48% margin.
The Campbell County School Board races were also highly contested, with the top two vote-getters in each district winning the three available seats.
In District 1, incumbent Melissa Stewart (R) and newcomers Jennifer Dees Butler (R) and Bethany Conley (D) were elected.
In District 2, incumbent Ed Massey (D) and newcomers Jay Black (R) and Jeff Smith (R) won the three open seats.
In District 3, incumbent Leah Tucker (R) and newcomers John Hammonds (R) and James Still (D) were elected.
Boone County Results
In Boone County, Republican candidate for Boone County Circuit Court Judge James H. Giggie defeated Democratic candidate Bill Kirkpatrick, a Boone County attorney, by a 56% to 44% margin.
Eric Chimenti, the Republican candidate and current Boone County Sheriff, was re-elected, defeating Democratic challenger Paul Newberry by a 58% to 42% margin.
The Boone County School Board races were less competitive, with the top two vote-getters in each district winning the three available seats.
In District 1, incumbents Mark Lader (R) and Rachel Phillips (R) retained their seats, while newcomer Emily Brown (D) was also elected.
In District 2, incumbents Matt Schadler (R) and Jennifer Turner-Williams (D) retained their seats, while newcomer Melissa Kelsch (R) was also elected.
In District 3, incumbents Monica Simons (R) and Laurie Saylor (R) retained their seats, while newcomer David Pender (D) was also elected.
