The 2024 Kentucky election is underway, and voters are casting their ballots in races for governor, U.S. Senate, and the Kentucky General Assembly. Follow our live blog for the latest election results and analysis from across the state.
As of 8 p.m. ET, polls have closed in Kentucky and vote counting is underway. The first results are expected to come in shortly. We will be updating this blog throughout the night with the latest vote counts and analysis.
In the race for governor, incumbent Democrat Andy Beshear is facing a challenge from Republican challenger Matt Bevin. Bevin is a former governor who lost to Beshear in the 2019 election.
In the U.S. Senate race, incumbent Republican Rand Paul is facing a challenge from Democratic challenger Charles Booker. Booker is a state representative who ran for U.S. Senate in 2020.
In the Kentucky General Assembly, all 100 seats in the House of Representatives and 38 of the 38 seats in the Senate are up for election. Republicans currently control both chambers of the General Assembly, but Democrats are hoping to make gains in this year's election.

* Matt Bevin (R): 48%
In the U.S. Senate race, the following are the live vote counts:
* Rand Paul (R): 54%
* Charles Booker (D): 46%
In the Kentucky House of Representatives, the following are the live vote counts:
* Republicans: 52%
* Democrats: 48%
In the Kentucky Senate, the following are the live vote counts:
* Republicans: 56%
* Democrats: 44%
These results are still preliminary and may change as more votes are counted.
